The server died.  I notified Doug Davis about it (he provided it - I
don't know if it was his machine or leased), IIRC he got it started
again, but it died later.  I emailed him several times after that, but
never got a response.  I suspect the hard drive cratered and he had no
backups.

I had all the last known static files, but not the CGI scripts, so I
registered rbent.net and put the files on my server.  It is still in a
state of refurbishment.

It was built using frames, which are convenient, but very unfriendly
for search engines, so I've started revising the site to use
server-side includes (SSI), which gives you all the modularity of
frames, but is much friendlier for search engines.  If anyone wants to
take over or augment my work, the job is open.

Also, you don't have to volunteer to do work.  I accept suggestions
and will work on them in my (as we like to say at my house,
_abundant_) spare time.

Plans also include a photo gallery for uploads.
