Hi Linda,
Our prayers are with you & yours daily.

I'll not be able to make it this month. We'll be out of town that week
& weekend. Hope to see you soon.

Vanessa

Linda, I'm planning to be there for Fourth Saturday. Thanks for
bringing us up to date on all your news. I hope things start to go
better for Jenny and that she is more comfortable as time goes on.

	Good morning,

Hope this summer is going well for you.

You'll be glad to know that Ron Holley's mother's
condition
has improved. He and Monelle are going to OK soon to help her
move
into assisted living, but she's still not going to move closer
to
them, but stay in the area she's called home for most, if not
all,
the decades of her life. I'm sorry this will make it more
difficult
on Ron and Monelle, a situation I understand all too well, but
can
understand her wishes. She's made a nice life for herself in
Wewoka.

My summer has certainly been eventful, starting with
surgery
for Jenny. Hopefully, in time, this will end in health
benefits. They installed a pump that will distribute a drug
that's
SUPPOSED to help lessen the spasticity of her muscles and make
it
easier for her to move and for us to help her. But, at the
moment,
it's been nothing but extra difficulties. Very disappointing
to all of us.

I've, recently, returned from a week of teaching
dulcimer in
Bardstown KY. I've been doing this job, regularly, for the
past 20
years or so and always enjoy it.
In less than a week, unless forbidden by unforeseen
circumstances, Wesley will join me in my last big trip of the
year,
to Michigan to participate in the Grandaddy of all dulcimer
festivals, the Old Time Something Or Other, in Evart Michigan.
I'm
	really looking forward to it.

The 4th Saturday in July will be July 28th. I will
have
returned, by then, and am preparing some material for it.
I can see how the subjects might change between now and
then, depending on what I find and think of. But, at the
moment,
	the subjects are
some different versions of Mississippi Sawyer, Flop-Eared Mule,
and
Smash the Windows (also known as Roaring Jelly.)
I don't expect to end up dealing with all 3 of these,
but to
settle down to 2 when I find which ones have the most
interesting
variations. These tunes are familiar and very easy to learn, so

don't worry about preparing anything in advance. In fact, a
"polished" arrangement would make it more difficult for you to
be
open to loads of interesting possibilities.

	         Hope you can join us.

	Best Wishes
	Linda
